| Paperless, High Contrast LCD NAVTEX RECIEVER MODEL NT-1000 |
![]()
FEATURES
| High contrast 4.5-inch LCD provides a wide, easy-to-read message screen (32 characters X 16 lines per page), replacing printer paper for economical, maintenance-free operation. Both screen backlighting and contrast levels are fully adjustable.
Huge message storage capacity stores more than 120,000 characters (in excess of average 300 messages), three to four limes greater than similar LCD-based models offer. Received messages are retained in non-volatile memory, and the oldestone is erased when full capacity is reached or 72 hours afterits reception.
A short stainless whip-type active antenna is supplied as standard for coastal or medium range operation. For long distance reception, a long fiberglass whip-type active antenna is optionally available. A low-profile H-field type antenna can also be selected for limited-space installation. Power to the antenna is automatically fed from the receiver.
A wide dynamic range/high sensitivity receiver ensures reliable reception of NAVTEX messages in the presence of strong interference from LF/MF broadcasts on adjacent frequencies.
Stored messages can be scrolled line-by-line or message-by-message with a single keystroke, and can be output for printout with a PC or for other onboard or shore-based applications.
With appropriate data inputs supplied to the built-in I/O port, two additional data display pages are selectable to show the ship's position coordinates, heading, and speed across one page and depth information across the other page. (This function is to be supported by software upgrades )
The built-in power supply allows dependable service over a wide voltage range, from 11 to 40 volts d-c.
| NOTE: The NT-1000 is not designed, or type-approved, as a GMDSS component on compulsory-fitted vessels. |
